How to Get Started with a Digital Planner in 2020 | Digital Planning
Want to watch a video version of this post? I’ve got you covered!
It’s pretty, functional, you can carry it with you wherever you go, and it’s the latest thing. If you’re ready to jump on the digital planner bandwagon, here’s how you can get started today.
What is digital planning?
Digital planning recreates those beautiful paper planners that we all love digitally. That means you won’t spend $60 on a beautiful paper planner that you only use for 2 weeks and never pick up again (we’ve all done it).
If you have an iPad or some sort of tablet, you can digital plan. You don’t even need a stylus – you can write with your finger or type in the boxes. You can use a digital planner on a laptop or computer, but the functionality isn’t exactly the same.
I use my digital planner on an Apple iPad with an Apple Pencil and the Goodnotes 5 app. If you’re using an Android tablet, you can use the Xodo app. There are tons of other apps out there that will work too – as long as the app can read interactive PDFs and you can write and type on it, you’ll be good to go!

Why Should I Use A Digital Planner?
Digital planners are magical. Trust me.
The best thing about digital planning is that you can customize your planner to check off every single box on your dream planner checklist. It’s hard to find a paper planner that fits your needs perfectly, but a digital planner absolutely can.
Each planner template you buy comes with built in blank pages so you can add exactly what you need. Not to mention all of your pages are reusable. You can meal plan for this week, clear the page on Saturday and start again for next week!
There are even stickers you can use! (I told you digital planners are magical).
