How to Build a Sales Funnel in ConvertKit
My goodness guys, you’re probably hecka tired of hearing about my love affair with ConvertKit but, it’s real, it’s true and it’s amazing.
If you’ve been hanging ‘round these parts for any amount of time at all, you know that I LOVE sales funnels just about as much (probably more…shhh, don’t tell) as I love ConvertKit so, it’s only natural to bring you a tutorial about:
How to Build a Sales Funnel in ConvertKit
Remember, we’ve talked before about what a sales funnel is and what goes into a Sales Funnel so I’m basically just showing you how to do those exact things in ConvertKit.
Ok, so let’s get to it…it’s really crazy easy.
- Create a Form in ConvertKit. This is where people will subscribe to get your free thing you’re offering them. You can use the built-in landing pages on CK, or, just create a form and embed it on your website.
- Create a Sequence in ConvertKit for the form.
You have some options here:
– You can just have a standard 1-email sequence that says, “Hey, here’s your free thing you signed up for” and then create an automation to add them to a sales funnel sequence (this is the best way if you only have 1 or 2 funnels they would go down).
– You could also have each form have it’s own funnel in the sequence hooked to it.
- Hook the sequence to the form.
You could also invert these steps and create the sequence first and then the form so you didn’t have to go back into the form to link to the sequence, completely up to you.
- Set-up any needed automations.
This can be different for every business and every funnel but you may need to set-up automations that say things like, “when they get done with one sequence, add them to another”. This comes in handy if you’re wanting them to go through a freebie-specific sequence, then go through a nurture sequence and then, maybe, go back to a sales funnel sequence.
