Today's tech tip is SUPER fun and it comes with a really fun FREEBIE…who doesn't love a good freebie, right?

how to write on graphics using Canva

Alright, so, here's the thing – we all see those images on Pinterest and Instagram and there's a graphic behind them and text on top but you don't know how the heck to do them, right?

Well, have no fear dear!

It's actually CRAZY easy. In this example I'm going to use these ‘goals' iPhone backgrounds and, guess what, you can get them free too – woohoo!

Alright, so let's get started.

Go create a free account at Canva it's definitely my favorite FREE online editing source. You know I love me some Photoshop – duh, I'm a designer – but when anyone wants me to recommend something free, Canva is my go-to.

Now, go in and create a new image. For this example, you'll want to use the dimensions 1080px (x) 1920px (for an iPhone background) but there are tons of templates inside of Canva for social media images etc.

Now, a new window will open and you can upload your image you're wanting to use.

Then size it to where you want and grab the text tool. For this example, you'll want to just add a little bit of body text but there are TONS of options!

Next, all you have to do is save it!

Just click “download” on the upper-right-hand side of the screen and save as a “high-res PNG” file.

In this example, you'll then email it to yourself or use Dropbox to get it to your phone and then set it as the background.

And yes, that one bubble says I have 396 alerts…I'm one of those people.
