Whether you have a positive or negative opinion of AI, there are many use cases and we decided to see what would happen if we asked ChatGPT to write a blog post. Here's what happened when we wrote a blog post with AI!

There are a few reasons you could use AI to write a blog post. First, AI can greatly cut down on the time it takes you to write a blog post. AI should be able to write a blog post that is optimized for performance (this includes keyword research, search engine optimization, and content readability). We Wrote a Blog Post with AI and Here's What Happened
AI has been a popular topic lately. You've likely heard everything from the amazing things AI can do to the downright horrible things AI could potentially be capable of. We aren't here to take a side, but we wanted to try writing a blog post with AI to see how well it would work. Before we get started, let's break down the point of a blog post.
Why Write a Blog Post
The main reason for a blog post is to share information, ideas, and perspective. Some of the key purposes and benefits of maintaining a blog are: sharing expertise, establishing yourself as a trusted authority in your field, building an online presence, boosting your visibility online, increasing your website's search engine optimization (SEO), and attracting organic traffic.
How We Asked AI to Write a Blog Post
We used ChatGPT to write the blog post. It's a pretty simple process!
- Go to Open AI
- Log in using an existing account or sign up (it's quick!)
- Click on ChatGPT
Once we clicked on ChatGPT, we simply asked it to “write a blog post about productivity that will rank well on Google”.

Within seconds, AI had completed a blog post all about productivity with over 600 words! Here's exactly what AI wrote:

Let's Analyze How AI Performed
As you can see above, the AI blog post did not contain any glaring grammatical errors at first glance. It's organized and well-written, while full of productivity tips. However, the real indicator of a blog post's performance is the SEO and readability score a blog post has. Our team loves using the Yoast SEO tool. So we checked to see how well this blog post stacked up to the Yoast scoring system!
Here are the scores the blog post received:


The SEO score is arguably the most important score and it's the lowest you can receive. A high SEO score is more likely to rank better on Google and make your blog post visible. So unfortunately, this blog post falls short. Additionally, the readability score isn't as low as the SEO score, but it could still use improvement!
All in all, AI is quick way to write a blog post. However, it may not be the best way to write a blog post that will rank well on Google!
