If you want to grow a business online, being “omnipresent,” AKA everywhere you can be, should be part of your content strategy. But if you’re a solopreneur, managing all those platforms at once is downright impossible. So I want to talk about how repurposing your content could change your business – and make being omnipresent more possible than you think!
How repurposing your content could change your business

So, the dream in business is to be EVERYWHERE that your ideal customer might see you. You want to be ubiquitous – that’s the KEY to growth with a business.
But you can’t do it all! And I’m a big believer that you shouldn’t do it all. If you’re a solopreneur, you should only be focusing on ONE social media platform and ONE content creation platform. But that doesn’t mean you shouldn’t have any presence on the other platforms out there. That’s how repurposing your content could change your business.
You may have heard that platforms want content created just for them – and that’s true when you’re trying to GROW. You should still repurpose your content to be present on those platforms.
So, how can you repurpose your content? Let’s dive in now.
Turn YouTube videos into Reels/TikToks/Shorts
Existing YouTube videos can be chopped up into clips that you can post on Instagram Reels, TikTok, or YouTube Shorts.
Turn YouTube videos into Blog Posts
You can also take YouTube videos, transcribe or summarize them, and turn them into blog posts.
If you know anything about SEO, Google is the biggest search engine in the world. And if you want to be found on Google, blog posts are the way to do it. Embedding a YouTube video in your blog post will even get you some “bonus points” from Google.
Now, if YouTube is your preferred content creation platform, I don’t want you taking your focus off of it to write blog posts. You can always send your video off to someone else to transcribe it for relatively little cost! There are tons of people on Fiverr who are able to do just that.
Blog posts can be repurposed in a million ways!
You can take pieces of a blog post and expand them into an email newsletter. Or take small snippets of blog posts and use them to write Instagram captions. You could create tweets or Facebook posts from them, too.
Podcast episodes can also be blog posts
Send that podcast off to a transcription service and create a blog post from it! You could even film your podcast episodes so you could post them to YouTube, take the audio for the actual podcast, and then have it transcribed into a blog post.
Turn Reels into TikToks and Shorts
Ah, short-form video content. The thing that’s sweeping over all platforms right now. You don’t need to create a new video for every platform. You could film one short video and then put it on Reels, TikTok and YouTube Shorts.
I have found that what does well on each of those platforms is very different… which does complicate things. But the purpose here is to be present on every platform, and this does the trick regardless.

The real magic happens when you only need to create ONE piece of content
If you’re a solopreneur, you should only pick a few of these ideas that take the least time for you. And when you’re able, this is one of the first things you can hire out. The MAGIC happens when you only create one piece of content and someone else turns it into all of the others.
When I did this on my own, my main goal was to create YouTube videos, and my secondary goal was to create blog posts to go along with those. I knew that Google favored blog posts with YouTube videos embedded, and I wanted those bonus SEO points. I was super focused on search, so I wanted people to find me.
But at that time, I wouldn’t have also tried to create Reels or podcasts from those videos. I didn’t have that capacity as a solopreneur, and that is okay.
I’ve had people in charge of repurposing my content for years and years now, whether it’s a contractor, an employee, or someone else. Like I said, repurposing content is an easy thing to hire out. Sites like UpWork and Fiverr make it especially easy and cost-effective.
Aren't able to hire out this work yet? That's okay! Dive deep on your two main platforms and focus on growing there. That will afford you the ability to hire this out later.
How repurposing your content can change your business
You can use ONE piece of content to be found by your ideal customer ANYWHERE they might look for you. That is some powerful stuff.
