2025 is here, and I’m ready to take on something BIG. As a content creator, staying consistent and inspired can be a challenge, but this year, I’m leveling up in the most exciting way possible: committing to creating every single day. Yep, 365 days of creativity, whether it's filming, writing, editing, or capturing life through my lens.
This challenge isn’t just about quantity—it’s about pushing my limits, honing my skills, and sharing the journey with all of you. Curious how I plan to keep the ideas flowing and the burnout at bay? Let’s dive in!
I sent an email to my list recently about a big goal I’ve set for 2025: creating or releasing some form of content every single day for 365 days. Yep, every day. No, it doesn’t mean a YouTube video daily (I don’t have that kind of bandwidth), but something—a short, a post, a blog, or maybe a skywritten haiku.
Why This Goal Matters
Here’s the thing: I’ve fallen into a trap. I only create content when I have to—when there’s a brand deal, a project deadline, or a nagging feeling that my YouTube channel has been dormant too long. I’ve let perfectionism and external factors dictate my creativity.
Even worse, I’ve convinced myself that I need to be fully “camera ready” to hit record. Hair done, makeup perfect, lighting just right—only to trash entire videos because I didn’t love how I looked. It’s exhausting.
And it’s so counter to why I started creating in the first place. I’m a content creator because I love creating content. When I’m not doing it freely, it feels like a part of me is stuck in limbo.
Pushing Past the Fear of Imperfection
This challenge isn’t about algorithms or growth hacks—it’s about me reclaiming the joy of creating. It’s about showing up, even when things aren’t perfect. It’s about proving to myself that I can push past the excuses, ADHD scheduling hiccups, and self-imposed barriers.
Peter McKinnon (my fave!) recently shared something similar—how the gap between an idea and its execution can kill momentum. That hit home. Creativity thrives on action, not waiting for the “right moment.”
Addressing the Critics
When I shared this challenge, someone commented, “The world is trending toward less content, not more.” And sure, if you’re a business owner who doesn’t enjoy creating, that might resonate. But I’m not just a business owner—I’m a content creator.
I’ve lived the life where I didn’t have to create. My systems ran on autopilot, and the money came in. But I missed the spark. I thrive when I’m making, sharing, and connecting through content.
This goal isn’t about churning out mediocre stuff. It’s about finding my rhythm, experimenting, and rediscovering the fun.
What You Can Expect
In 2025, you’ll see me everywhere—YouTube, Instagram, blog posts, maybe even skywriting (kidding… or am I?). Some days, it’ll be polished; other days, it might be raw and messy. But it’ll be me.
If you’re feeling stuck, maybe this inspires you to join me. Or maybe it sparks a totally different approach that works for you. Either way, let’s make this year about creating boldly, loving what we do, and kicking perfection to the curb.
Here’s to 365 days of creativity, connection, and a whole lot of fun. Cheers to 2025! 🎉
