Why I Switched to ThriveCart (and love it)

As someone who has dabbled in just about every platform under the sun for selling digital products, courses, and memberships, I know how overwhelming it can be to find the right checkout and cart solution. There are dozens of platforms out there—some too clunky, others missing essential features, and many that nickel-and-dime you to death with monthly fees.

ThriveCart is a great cart solution

A few months ago, I quietly made the switch back to ThriveCart Pro+. I didn’t write about it right away because I wanted to see how it held up in real-world use. Now that I’ve been using it for a while, I can confidently say: this was one of the best backend decisions I’ve made for my business.

Here’s why:

1. It’s Built for Selling—Period.

While many platforms try to be everything to everyone, ThriveCart is laser-focused on conversions. The checkout pages are optimized out of the box, and honestly, they just work. No more Frankenstein-ing together a Stripe form, Zapier workflow, and a redirect page. Everything from upsells to bump offers to A/B testing is built-in and intuitive.

I didn’t need to hire a developer or spend hours watching tutorials—setup was fast, clean, and dare I say… kind of fun?

2. Flexible Pricing (Including a lifetime option)

This is one of the things that originally caught my attention about ThriveCart.

ThriveCart has evolved its pricing, and you now have more flexibility in how you pay. You can choose a plan with ongoing payments, or, if you prefer to make a one-time investment, ThriveCart still offers a lifetime option. That flexibility makes it easier to choose the approach that works best for your business and budget. And if you're not ready to commit right away, you can start with a 30-day free trial to see if it’s the right fit for your business.

If you've ever added up the monthly or annual costs of tools like SamCart, Kajabi, or ClickFunnels, having a lifetime option can still be pretty appealing—especially if you plan to use ThriveCart for the long haul.

And if you opt for ThriveCart Pro+, you get access to additional features like affiliate management, joint venture tools, advanced subscription capabilities, and multi-user permissions. These are the kinds of features that can become incredibly valuable as your business grows and your sales systems become more complex.

3. My Courses and Memberships? Covered.

I thought I’d need to keep my existing course platform, but ThriveCart has its own learning management system called Learn+ included. It’s simple, sleek, and fully integrated. For people who sell digital products, coaching, or run memberships, it’s more than enough to deliver a polished user experience.

I moved one of my smaller courses into ThriveCart Learn+ as a test—and now I’m moving everything.

4. It Plays Nicely With Others

Whether you use ConvertKit, ActiveCampaign, MailerLite, or something else, ThriveCart integrates with it. I didn’t need to rip out my tech stack—ThriveCart just fit into what I already had. I was able to set up automations and tagging based on purchases and behavior with just a few clicks.

Also, if you’re into analytics (or just want your Facebook Pixel to work properly), ThriveCart supports deep data tracking and custom scripts.

5. Support That Doesn’t Make You Want to Scream

I’ve submitted a few support tickets, and every time I’ve gotten thoughtful, human responses. Not canned replies. Not “we’ll get back to you in 72 hours.” Real help, quickly. That goes a long way these days.

Final Thoughts

I’m not saying ThriveCart is the only solution out there—but I will say it’s the first one that’s made me stop shopping around. If you’re building digital products, selling services, or want a better way to manage your checkout flow without getting locked into monthly fees, it’s absolutely worth a look.
